Introduction
My name is Adam Johnson, and I am in the Master's Degree
program in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University. I began the
program Fall 2011 and will graduate Summer 2013. I graduated from Kennesaw
State University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in education. Immediately
after graduation, I began working at Cherokee High School as a paraprofessional
in the special education department.
After one year, the administration hired me on as a full time Special
Education Literature teacher.
I currently teach World Literature to 10th grade students in Cherokee County. My
previous experience at KSU led me to the Master's Degree program in the
Department of Instructional Technology. My ultimate goal is to obtain a job as
a technology coach and work with students who need assistive technology. In the
future I plan to continue with my education by pursuing a specialist degree.
The purpose of this portfolio is to demonstrate mastery of the PSC Instructional Technology standards. Below there are a series of links that you can visit. Under the standards link, you will see a series of artifacts and reflections documenting the important work I have completed during this program. Each artifact demonstrates mastery of the standard under which it is presented.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Kennesaw State University, both times I have been enrolled here, and know that I am well-prepared to integrate technology into my classroom. I am also excited to use the skills I have learned to assist other educators in using technology and providing professional learning opportunities for them.
